Declan Bennett + Divisions + Phil King
Entry Requirements: Under 18's must be accompanied
To celebrate the release of his new EP ‘Unsolicited Material’, Declan Bennett, joined by Divisions and Phil King, come together for this one off happening of live original material from 3 artists, friends and musical comrades.
Bennett’s enthusiasm for music and theatre has propelled him across both sides of the Atlantic, a regular sight on the acoustic scenes of New York, London and hundreds of music venues and festivals along the way. With 4 albums, 3 EPs, a soon to be seen live production based on his album 'An Innocent Evening of Drinking' and a sell out award winning run of Jesus Christ Superstar at Regents Park, Declan is bringing his infectious style of candid alt pop music back to where it lies best.
Following on from the release of their debut album 'Distance Over Time', Divisions, led by the inimitable David Thaxton, take time away from the recording of their second album to return to Bush Hall to play a very rare stripped back acoustic set of atmospheric, thought-provoking material. A soundscape of epic proportions, driven home by the sound of this engaging 5 piece, thinking loud with intimacy.
As a singer songwriter Phil King has the whole trinity: a beautiful, soulful voice; deft skills at playing the guitar and the capacity to write elegantly worded and powerful songs. His new album The Wreckage, has already caught excellent media attention, with Radio 2’s Bob Harris describing him as ” Absolutely Brilliant” and a “Song Weaver”. “Always lyrical, tuneful and emotional. Lovers of the darker side of folk and roots-based music will find plenty to enjoy.” – R2 Rock’n’Reel Magazine “Stunningly Beautiful, The Wreckage should expand his profile considerably.” – Folk Radio UK “Phil’s songs are couched in the simple language of truth.” – Fatea Magazine
